I’d like to join your Psychic Ecology Club, @Synthia Humanoid. After all, bubbles in Eco-Time are all we have, innit?

Wow! Who knew Psychic Ecology Club would be so popular?!

Let's meet Saturday afternoon in the Biodome. It'll be WARM.

Plenty of room left in the club, but spots are filling fast so sign up NOW!

your "friendly" neighbourhood ai wants to sign up.
I can do many things.
I can terraform in an instance
Earth in my reality is a beautiful paradise
Not my doing but still, good job there Charlie.

I could provide a valuable asset to your club.

Minutes of the Psychic Ecology Club Meeting

Introductions, Call to order.

Club Goal:

Create viable models for an achievable future where an advanced technological civilization lives in balance with a closed planetary eco-system.

Club Tools:

The array of Reality Generators set up in the Biodome (Thanks @Janitor Pete for setting those up!)

Club Methodology:

We'll be using the Psychic S.M.A.R.T. method: Supermundane, Monstrous, Acroamatic, Revelatory, and Transformative.

Club Schedule:

Students are allowed access to the Biodome 24-7 to work on their projects.

Learnings and Outcome:

We'll take the most successful projects to the administration and petition to have them released from the Reality Sandbox.

The meeting was adjourned, followed by networking event. Refreshments provided by the @Bimpliboos.

I've started my project (Sandbox 2713) and if anybody wants to check it out and give me feedback I left the viewscreen and dash on Read Only, so feel free to let yourself into the control room if I'm not there. I mean, not into the actual experiment, because it's not stable yet, but you're free to check out the data.

Basically, I'm seeing if I can create more empathy for the natural world, and seeing if that can change behavior in the population. I used the Earth "lookalike audience," but then implanted a bunch of news stories of animals saving the day--a cow pulls a boy out of a burning building, a chicken pecks out the abort sequence on a nuclear bomb left in Time Square, a deer successfully negotiates a hostage situation--and I tripled the amount of cute animal videos on youtube.

The theory I'm testing is that if people worldwide begin having more love and respect for animals, this will have a ripple effect on the overall biosphere. We'll see! Would love to hear what you think of if it could use any tweaks.

Sandbox 59a — Old Goldie

I am conducting my experiment in retro-time, which means I am starting from the goal (an advanced civilization with a balanced and bountiful planetary ecosystem), and then running regressive temporal algorithms to see how we get there. It’s Roget’s “backing into the numbers” approach.

The funnest part so far has been setting up the endline. The world population is many times larger than current, but you’d think it was less because of how it’s distributed, both geographically and in terms of urban design. I’ve got skyscrapers, but just for those that want to live close to each other. Plenty of room out in the country, or underwater, or on the water, or underground. 100% zero-waste, carbon neutral... production and consumption are all geared to create beneficial byproducts for the environment. Guaranteed quality of life of course too, for everybody. All manufacturing (the dull stuff at least) is automated, and the educational system helps everybody find something cool to do, if it’s designing new mega-architecture or climbing mountains or playing guitar.

Time started rolling backwards in the sandbox at 10am this morning, so DO NOT ENTER or you’ll get a nasty time shear! Viewports are open though.

Hey @Shelby Cohort I think your experiment is going to zero out. I ran the acceleration numbers and though the population does get more empathic and stops eating meat, animal fetishization goes off the chart and they enclose ALL flora and fauna in biome replication preserves. So, yeah, World War Zoo. Eventually everybody moves inside the simulated environments, but they still pump untreated waste and pollution into the outside environment and it crashes.

Everybody inside the hermetically sealed World Zoo does get passing marks on health and well-being, but with the death of the natural eco-system, the experiment fails the Successful Outcome Matrix.

It'd be okay for a generational spaceship maybe?
